Ambulance - Ethel

Ethel is a 1969 series IIA Marshalls of Cambridge Land Rover ambulance. Purchased in 2001 and owned privately by one of the Trustees, she is on loan to Hart First Response (HFR) to help cover events in the local community.  She acts as a first aid post at fetes and fayres and as ambulance transportation at off-road events. All our ambulances provide a treatment environment for our patients and immediate access to life-saving equipment.

Ethel was originally used by the Ministry of Defense to transport up to four casualties at any one time.  After being retired from active service, like many older ambulances she was adapted as a camper-van and has had many original features removed.  Since then she has been re-vamped with a shiny new interior, an external brilliant white paint job and fitted with modern equipment  for her current role.
